peeking at Parish records

I know the next step should be the parish. records are you able to access them from the internet, I'm only good for walking on the old pins for a few feet , all a bit of a pain in the proverbial

Although family search does have parish records (the IGI), there are a couple of things to be aware of. Firstly, they are by no means complete so you won't necessarily find who you are looking for. They are mainly baptisms and marriages. Secondly, there are two types of entry. Transcripts of the original registers and member submissions. The member submissions are entries that are submitted by anyone tracing there family tree and are not checked. Therefore be very careful of these, they are often wildly inaccurate. They transcripts are more reliable but still should be checked with the originals and still contain errors. Sam x

Lesley you are a diamond, I will try to find it myself but appreciate the offer, I have been up and down the census so often that other peoples families are now looking familiar to me.Thank you
