Linda if you do a name search on this site for Alfred there are 3 people that have him in their tree and they might be able to help you out. Julie

I think theres been a mistake and Elizabeths surname is not Vine cos when you search on Ancestry there is no Elizabeth Vine for that qtr or year

I have got back to 1890s but how do I find maiden names of women I have found thro 1901 census. e.g. Elizabeth Shrimpton b.1855 Horton Bucks. I can't put her into the 1851 census cos I don't know what her name was then. Am I being dim? I only started this 2 days ago and am already hooked!!!
