I have an ancestor Christina Gibson who was born about 1836. I don't know exactly where. Her parents Andrew Gibson (listed as farm servant) and Elizabeth Greig were deceased by the time of her marriage in Aberdeen, Scotland on 20 Nov 1863. She was 28 years of age. Christina died on 15 feb 1868 iin Aberdeen, Scotland. She was 31 and again her father Andrew was listed as a farm servant. I would appreciate it if anyone could help. I couldn't seem to identify her on Ancestry's census records and cannot seem to find her on familysearch baptisms. Thanks

Are there any witnesses shown on the marriage certificate with the name of Gibson?

Thanks Glitter Baby. Sorry I had to pop away from the computer. Unfortunately the witnesses don't have that surname. I noticed that record too. Would you agree it's the most likely candidate? Unfortunately I cannot seem to tie her into the 51 or 41 census. I will have to go now - been called away by the family. I'll be back tomorrow. Thank you for all your help so far.

Still no joy on this one. Did she marry Andrew Booth? Found a possible for him in 1841 with parents John and Margaret. 1851 listed as born 1832 Foveran. 1861 listed as Andrew Borth born 1833 Foveran - occupation of railway lab. Another possible but on 1861 and in the same area as Andrew Booth !!!! 1841 census has an Elizabeth Gibson 1801 in Fetteresso, Kincardineshire. Also there is a Christina Gibson in Fetteresso but not listed in the same household. A possible for Christina on 1851 but giving place of birth as Glen Cewie, Kincardineshire. Sorry have not got any credits on ScotlandsPeople so have not checked any of the details. Tried listing her birth from 1830-40 on Scotland's People with no success. Only 1 on 1841 census but has wrong parents.
