Any ideas on how I can find out what my grandfather was doing in Paris in 1917?? He was living at 35 Rue Guersant, Paris and was a bootmaker when his daughter Victoria was born, [I got this from her birth cert]. Supposidly he had left the Army by then but the family seem to think that he was over in France on army work. Thanks Su
