where do I start to find rellies in I Ireland if I dont know dates of birth etc, all I have is a name and I think where they were born.

Hi Ann I have never had to trace Irish relatives, but I do know people who have had a lot of success with ordering in the Irish BMD Index at their local family history centre. You do need to ring them and make enquiries about what they have/can order in. You have an approximate date and an area to start in so it is better than nothing. Also if you search the threads there are a lot of postings on irish research by people who have actually done it and you should pick up some tips. Good Luck Gail. x
