Found this site by Googling:- http://baby-parenting(.)co.uk/baby/b_baby_names.html remove brackets. It has the name Barnwell for a boy - meaning - state in California. Kath. x |

Hi Heather No, def says on cert Barniwell and on 1871 census it still looks like...Barniwell...same as on 1881... Gerri PS ..on one of those census it's transcribed as...Barmwell but image says barniwell. |

I have a marriage cert1891 and the brides Father is Barniwell/Barmwell Crawley. I have found him on 1871 and 1881 census with his wife Emma. I cant find a marriage for these two. ....but.... I did find a marriage ref for a Bernard Crawley and an Emma Eames. St.Albans Hertfordshire 1853 Q4. What do you think? Could Bernard be mine? Gerri. |
