I have just bought credits for 1901 Census online. I have an address to look up 46 Caryl Street Toxteth Park in Liverpool. However, when I put in the search details it brings up Caryl Street and no numbers by the side to look at every single image would cost a fortune. Have tried the obvious to count down to 46 and had a look but that wasn't the correct place. Am stumped now! Am a relative newbie so am probably missing something really obvious. |

Where did you learn about the address? Was it on a cert of some sort? Do you have any idea of the names of the people for whom you are searching? Reg |

Yes I applied for a marriage cert of James Nugent and Ellen Walber. 46 Caryl Street was address listed for James Nugent and 29 Blundell Street was given for Ellen. However, have found Blundell Street and Ellen wasn't living at that address as of 1901 census. |

Yeah I found a couple but none seemed to match my James Nugent was 25 at the time of his marriage in 1906 which would have made him 20 and also under his profession it lists Marine which could mean he was away at sea. |

There are only three James Nugents in Toxteth Park on the 1901 census on Ancestry, and only one of them was old enough to marry in 1906, but he is already married. Was the James on the marriage certificate a widower? UPDATE - the one Reg has found is the one I am talking about. Kath. x |

Hi Kath - no it lists him as a bachelor however, with my colourful family's past that could be questioned?! |

James - I know! I have to keep writing stuff down so as not to get them all mixed up. |

Could her surname be mistranscribed as Walter? Waller? Walker? By the way, I've brought up 46 Caryl St on the 1901 index. Are you sure you're following the correct procedure? If I had spare credits I'd look it up for you. 46 Caryl St Y Liverpool C B Toxteth Park Holy Trinity West Toxteth Liverpool Brunswick |

Paul how did you input the number part as when I tried it said that the search would take too long? However, when I tried Caryl it brought up the list with no numbers by the side? I have few credits left but need to know how to search the number. |
