OK I'll admit it GR has beaten me this time! I am currently corresponding with someone and want to show them my tree. we sent messages back and forth but for some reason she doesn't show in my 'contacts' box and therefore I can tick the box to show her my tree. I have plenty of other contacts in there and have other people viewing my tree and me theirs. What am I doing wrong? I have sent another e-mail this morning to the person concerned to see if her address then appears in my contact box but it doesn.t. Sue |

We have communicated through messages not through the message boards. I've tried reordering my contact list and that doesn't work either! Sue |

I had same problem. We resolved it by making contact through 'name search'. Just enter a name which you know is in their tree. |

I have seen this before, it can happen if you delete a contact from you list at some stage. I believe the way round it is to click on one of their names and send a message as if you were starting a new contact from scratch. The member should no reappear in your contacts list together with any old messages |

Hi Sue, I've had this happen a few times. Is the lady you are trying to contact married? I ask this because she could be appearing in your contacts list but under her maiden name or her married name if you're looking for her maiden name as genes seem to use both names for some reason. To keep us on our toes I suppose. I hope this helps Carol |
