Im having a real problem finding any records from around 1910 to 1984 is it something I'm missing? I cannt even find my immediate family where i know the definates!! Be great ifanyone could enlighten me as to where im going wrong. Jen |

Hi Jen Where are you searching If you are looking on Ancestry the free BMD is only available for certain years. The full index is searchable but you have to view the the pages just as you have to on find my past. regards Jo |

Hi Jenny Do you mean BMD indexs/records? If so, you will not find so recent records on FreeBMD,only to approx 1915, you can check the complete records for 1837-1984 free on Ancestry, you have to register your e-mail address I believe. As they are not transcribed, if you dont know a date for the event, you will have to check each year, quarter by quarter, page by page to find the name you are looking for. http://www.ancestry*co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx Replace star with dot. |
