Thankyou. I would imagine that Mary Jane probably remarried. Also, (I know I am being really cheeky!!) can you find any record of John William Slyfield born c1886 in Hersham, Walton-On-Thames, Surrey, England. He is my great grandfather (although he may have the name Spencer somewhere) Thanks again Claire

Hi Claire, I am unsure whether that is Samuels death, the only way to be certain is to order the certificate and hope that the notifier is a family relative. As for Mary Jane, I cannot see a likely death for her in the Liverpool area between 1891 and 1901.

Marion was the only child that I can find any trace of (born c 1892). Do you htink it is the right Samuel? Also, is there any record of his wife's death? Many thanks for your help. Claire

Hi, Can anyone please help! I am trying to trace the death record for my great great grandfather. I have serached ancestry but with no luck. He is Samuel Green born c1859 in Seacombe, Cheshire, England. He married a Mary Jane (born c1864 in Owsestry, Shropshire, England). They both appear on the 1891 Census but not on the 1901 census. They has a daughter Marion Vaughan Green (b c1892 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England). She appears on the 1901 census as living with her Grandparents. Samuel appears on Marions marriage certificate in 1913 as deceased. So he must have died between 1891 and 1913 (but probably before 1901). Any help greatly appreciated! Claire
