Orange Cat and Me

Every generation has one, but my search for this one is proving impossible. Gt. grandfather Frank Bliss b. 1845 New York, had ? one wife ( Celestine Leture ) before he came to Engand and married gt. grandma. I have a photo with writing on the back that proves that Frank had an older son George, who looks in his teens in a group shot in 1899. The family do not speak about him, even grandma who is nearly 103 refuses to give me any info. If anyone could give me some advice it would be great. Thanks KG

Do you know when he came over here Katharine? Also , where did he live in England? It may help narrow the search if you have this info. Regards Ann

Judith, I never got a copy of the cert. because I thought I knew everything!! Obvoiously not, as I don't know if he was a widower, the story has always been that Celestine was unsuitable, an 'exotic' dancer and he was packed off to England to lick his wounds on the long journey over.

If George was born in US and is also regarded as a British subject on the 1901 census there must be some registration documentation somewhere, help where do I find this please? KG
