This site looks really useful if you are looking for Scottish Ancestors. It has lots of info on what they call Knowledge bases (such as where to look for An Emigrant , A Ship Passenger etc. etc ) ..............................................'The Knowledge Base also contains answers to Frequently Asked Questions. Click on one of these for an answer compiled by Scotland's archivists, or click on the Knowledge Base for a wider selection................. http://www.scan.org.uk/familyhistory/myancestor/pauper.htm
