My Father was an orphan and did't know his parent's names. from 1901 census I've discovered that they were: Alexander Carter age given as 27, wife Catherine age given as 23. Both born in Liverpool. Also found marriage Reg for them 1898 but her name is given as Mary, Catherine Horrocks. Here I've drawn a dead end!! Can't find any birth record for either of them nor any record on 1881 census. Been searching now for 4 month's and would really appreciate some help with this. Thank you Alex Phillips |

Alexandra, Do you have your father's birth certificate? He's not listed on the census so how can you be sure you have the correct family? Rose |
