Help! I have come to a brick wall - I am trying to find more about Walter John FITZGERALD (known as Jack) b 1882+/-1 - the family story is that he was born in Ireland and came to London as a child - he was an orphan, his sister apparently went to New Zealand - (he possibly joined the services at the turn of the century.) but was a printer's labourer by the time he married Maria SARSON (b1886) in Dec 1904 in Southwark. His father was Richard Fitzgerald (deceased). He lived in the Southwark/Lambeth area until his death in 1961. I don't have a definite date of birth - and his place of birth is not on his marriage or death certificate. Where else might I try for further information? Any pointers greatly received, Thanks Fiona |
