Hello everyone, I've been in contact with someone who shares a very distant ancestor with me and she has given me some very interesting background info. How do I get coroners reports on a death that happened in 1842? Can you get them?! Carole |

I don't think this death would've been recorded in the Times lol It was in the North East and he was a book binder not a lawyer! Carole |

You don't have to be important for your death to appear in a local newspaper! My relative had a giddy spell in her back yard and fell. She later died of shock and concussion. Not very exciting I know but it made the newspapers. Reporters had to attend the coroners inquests and cover them. It was a way of filling the newspaper pages up. Human interest stories.
