By giving one address of where they were living it saved the expense of having banns published in two Parishes. It was a very common occurence. Alan |

Thank you all for your replies. I have a few certs that both the bride and groom give the same adress as each other!!!!!!! They certainly don't like to make life easy :) |

If you check the electoral rolls, you will only get people who were eligible to vote. So no men under 21 and no women or children. Sam x |

You'll find it was common to give just one of the addresses. It doesn't necessarily mean they were living together! |

Can anyone offer a tip of how to find who was living at the above address in 1917 (May time). I have a couple that got married and both gave the same address as to where they were living! Thanks Jenny |
