I'm not sure if you can or not via Genes. If you can then part of the problem is that even a small tree covers lots of paper and names always fall on the overlap from one page to another. The scope for mistyping something into your own tree is always a problem. Also is the info in the other tree accurate? Better to leave out unverified details just in case they are wrong. The easiest way to be honest is to use a sorftware programme. Get the other tree sent to you as a gedcom and then add that gedcom file to your existing tree, this would then give you a larger tree with the new information added without having to type all the details manually. You can get some free stuff via downloads or buy a programme with all the bells and whistles for around £13. |

Hi i hope someone can help? Can I print a copy of anyones tree who has given me permission to view their tree. The reason being it will be easier to see where the connection is with myself; then I can transfer it to my own tree. Thanks Thicko Claire |
