I have been using a very old version of ACD with my Pentax Camera. The software I found inflexable and was unable to update it as it was so 'Old'. Problem my Pentax has clapped out and I need a new camera (not a pentax). I have about 1000 images on my PC and they always open via the Pentax Icon. If I remove the ACD software and put on what ever the new one will be - will I still be able to view my 1000 jpg/jepg? I understand that if I use Windows XP to view them it may change the format and I may never see them again. Help please. Margaret N

Doesn't your system have enough room for both sets of software? I have two digital cameras..........different makes.........and have all the necessary software for both on my system..........plus two other photo editing programmes. Reg

I open my pics with Windows XP software frequently and it has never lost them or changed the format. Sam x

Thank you all for your replies. Yes they are on a DVD and CD. I also have P/Shop 8 + Epsom Quick print (from yesteryear) + Picaso. I just felt worried by removing one and putting another on. When I tried out Adobe 2 about four years ago I did something wrong and lost all. It was only Picaso that found them. What's one more programme between friends. Margaret N
