Try free BMD for that period, it is easier on the eyes somehow, bigger type too!

Betty, have you seen the last reply on your other thread, it looks as if someone has found him for you. Christine

Hi Ann, Thanks for telling me I have been so busy on Ancestry I never noticed that. But it isn't him, wrong year of birth, he was born in 1841. He was in the 1901 census aged 57 then, so would have been quite a bit older when he died. Betty p.s. just going to add a thank you to the other message though.

Betty Tell us which years you have already done and I'll take the next 5...yes? Gerri.

Hi Gerri, I went over the lot and still can't see him. I don't know if it was just my eyes but I couldn't see anything that matched him at all. I took my time and went over it bit by bit all day long. Betty

Hi Kath, Yes I know what you mean I have been registered with Ancestry for a while now, I used the last 3 days offer previously to search all the census I needed. It was on a marriage certificate I bought that I noticed my Thomas Collins was dead by the time his son married in 1915 but the father was in the 1901 census, so 14 year gap to search his death, still trying though. What Christine is saying is that you don't just have 3 days free to look at births, marriages and deaths. Ancestry BMD's are free to search at any time. All you have to do is register (for free) and you can search for as long as you like. However the census records can't be searched for free normally, so you would be better using your 3 free days to look at census records and leave the deaths until later. Kath. x

Hi Christine, Thats what I said I have the 3 free days but have spent all day looking and my eyes have just had it. I am going to continue to search but what a strain on the eyes Ancestry is. I already have the census information I need. Betty

Hi Betty, what I mean is that you will still be able to search the BMD indexes after your 3 days free are finished. Christine

Hi Betty, You can search the BMD's free at any time as long as you are registered, so to make better use of your 3 free days it would be better to search some of the census records if you need to. Hope this helps you. Christine

Hi Linda and Gerri, I am looking for a death, my first time on Ancestry as they are doing 3 free days just now, anyway I can't find it as I don't know the exact year. I am trying to find a death after the 1901 census but before 1915 its a big gap. Do you still want to help!!!!!!!!!! Thought not!!!!!!!!!!! Betty
