Can anybody please help me to locate the death records for Marion K E Bream, born 1913 in Christchurch, Hampshire. She died in approximately 1819 and I am lead to believe that she may be buried in Boscombe Cemetery. I have found record of her birth, but not her death. All help gratefully received!! Claire |

Can you check the dates, please? She seems to have died well before she was born! Jack |

This must be the birth........... Name: Marion K E Bream Year of Registration: 1913 Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep Mother's Maiden Name: Green District: Christchurch (1837-1919) County: Hampshire Volume: 2b Page: 1195 Claire............please say where you have looked in your search for the death. You will NOT find it on the transcribed records, so unless you have searched by looking at each image of the deaths index for the years from 1913 onwards, you won't have had any chance of finding it. If you have viewed the images, please say exactly which ones. Reg |

Claire, FreeBMD is in the process of transcribing the BMD records, but still has lots to do, currently they are up to about 1910-15 in most areas. The complete indexs on Ancestry are not transcribed and have to be searched quarter by quarter year by year until you find the event you are after. The complete indexs are free to search as well. |

Thankyou for the help. I only put in the details for a search on Ancestry. I didn't know that it wouldn't be transcribed and I would have to search all of the records from 1913 onwards. Can someone please tell me why this is so? Also, is there anyway of finding it if she was buried at Boscombe Cemetery? Claire |

The transcriptions have been done by volunteers. There has not been much completed past about 1911 / 1912. Therefore we need to search each quarter of each year after that date. The cemeteries department there should be able to tell you about a burial as you are able to give a name and approximate date of death. Some charge for this, others don't. Gwyn |
