Bicardi, As said basic site is free, yo can upload your Gedcom file but not download it. I've just paid about £16 to upgrade so I can Downdown Gedcom Best site I have seen, really easy to use, in particular if you make a mistake, can't delete in GR. Use it for free then upgrade later, that's what I have done. Happy Hunting. Derek |

I joined Tribal Pages 30 mins ago!! I've only put in my direct ancestors (no aunts, uncles etc) and it was so simple and quick to use. Not complicated at all! Carole |

Hello all Tribal pages is such an easy site to use. Its great having your own mini web site and home page. It looks so smart and professional and I have been able to insert what my family names mean; I have two sites so my 'visitors' wont have to trawl through my other family. One question though to anyone who knows; how do you get to see other folk on this site. Someone in an old thread said how...but the drop down list was not there. Any ideas? Louise |

I was able to do it Louise by doing a search on a surname i was interested in which gave me a list of sites. Click on the site you are interested in and if you are lucky they wont have passworded it so you can then acces it. Gerry :-)) |

Go to your TP site. Enter your EDIT password. Go to 'names' ,A large box appears on the right hand side of the screen, to the right of where you would add a new name. This tells you about the status of your page, e.g. that you have a free site, that you cannot export a gedcom etc. the last thing in that box is 'connections' . If it say '0' then there are no matches for your names as yet. If it says '5 trees on this site' as mine does, click on that and you will get the names and a link to the matching sites. You will only get these matches if you ticked YES to directory lisitngs. If you didnt click yes, then your tree remains utterly private and locked. OC |
