RARM is just a reference for the marriage. Perhaps Hayley had already adopted Kelly's surname? Kelly, although usually a female name, is also a male name.

I am doing a research job on a person who was quite famous for being a bigamist and I am wondering if the RARM bit signifies something and ie the male person involved is protected from view???

I think it's the fact that this appears to be two female names that is causing confusion. Kath. x

It looks to me as if either Hayley or Kelly must be a man's name (although it seems a bit odd). This appears to be one marriage where someone with the surname Bates marries another person with the surname Bates. Kath. x

Hi has anyone come across a marriage entry like this one on Ancestry? and if so, any idea what it means? Basically, when I click on the spouses name for each entry (ie to obtain male name) it just takes me back to both these entries without giving me spouse info. The Registry number is RARM ???? I think they are one of the same person, but strange it won't show me who she married and wonder if it's been void for some reason. Any ideas?? Thank you.
