Thanks alot guys. I will return, I have been told there is a helpdesk there on a Thursday between 1.30 and 4 so I will give it ago. Better luck next time hey! Anne-Marie.

Hi there. You were very unlucky, have been there many times and had good service. Next time don't wait longer than 5 minutes and then find the one who spoke and ask her what's happening. The info you want is behind you as you stand at the counter but there is a small procedure you have to follow so the the records don't get all messed up. You should also if possible ring ahead and book a fiche reader. If it is only BMDs you are probably better looking on the net or putting details on here and we can all help. PM me if you like. Keith

Hi Ann honestly I have never felt so stupid I was standing there like a lemon. The info I need I have to search in the library unfortunatly. However, I will have to be brave and face the library again hopefully if I go early in the day it will not be so busy . Anne-Marie.

I went to Liverpool Central Library yesterday and was I lost! I did not have a clue how to go about searching there I had not been before and wanted to search baptisms and deaths. I told the lady behind the desk what I was looking for and that I was a novice she replied I will be back to you in a moment, in her defence I have to say the library was really busy. I waited for 20minutes and ended up going home empty handed! I felt so stupid not knowing what to do ,any tips!!! please as I need to return soon Anne-Marie.
