Hi, Can anybody please help me?! I am trying to research my Grandmothers side of the family (Bream). I have managed to establish a certain amount of this family (based in Leicestershire) but according to the 1841 there was a family member called Thomas Bream born in approximately 1801. However, the 1841 census does not state where he was born, or what relation he was to other members of the family and I can find no trace of him in any of the newer census'. Please help, as trying to establish his relationship to the other Bream's is driving me round the bend. It is possible that he is the brother of Martin Bream born in c1807. Any help would be greatfully appreciated! Claire |

Thanks. Is there any way of finding out how he relates to Martin Bream (or any of the other Breams) who he appears with on the 1841 census? Claire |

Wow thanks! They are both relations that I have found. How did you find that information? Claire |

hi the 1841 census does not list relationships or where the person was born, it only states whether they were born in the county or not. to find out if thomas had any brothers/sisters you need to be looking at the Parish records, ideally the IGI, as this would list possible siblings for your breams Julie |

Many thanks for that. Some I recognise, some I don't. That has been a great help! Claire |
