	Could the child be registered with a different surname, ...mother's maiden name perhaps.? Best not post any info. here because of privacy rules but I have a few minutes to take a look if you send a PM with some details. Gwyn

	No point in looking on FreeBMD for a birth in 1977 as the partially transcribed index only goes up to about 1915. Kath. x
