Joan, Just to update you, I found a Luscannor W Simmonds on the 1881 census, so obviously huge variations on the first name, but still no idea on origin. Nicky |

Morning Joan, I tried googling it as well and nothing like you say. I found her on the IGI (spelt Lucina), but on Ancestry and BMD as Lusceanor Willsea NOYES. She was born in 1835 in Middx and married Nathaniel SIMMONDS in 1854 at St Pancras. I have yet to find her on the census. Nicky |

Morning everyone, Came across an unusual first name in my research yesterday (well to me anyway) and wondered if anyone else has the name LUSCEANOR in their tree and if so, do they know the origin of the name? Thanks |

Morning Nicky. Unusual yes. I have just googled it and came up with nothing. Do you have the name on a census ? Have you found it anywhere else ? Joan |
