Ancestry is free for 14 days do you have to cancel before the fourteen days are up and if you dont do any thing about cancelling do they start charging you thank you for any information.

Did you have to give a credit card number? If so I think they will start charging at the end of the free period unless you cancel. Anne

Yes you need to cancel before the 14days are up. You would have had a confirming email when you joined and this will give you all the info you need to cancel the temporary free subs. Shirley

I agree - I've found ancestry essential, well worth the year's sub. Helen

You can actually get ancestry free for 30 days. If you say yes to subscribe and then exit out of it a pop-up appears saying don't go you can have 30 days. If you don't want the subscription then you need to cancel before the 30days are up. Hope this helps.

Hi Don't forget you can have one month for about £10 at a time. I do this with breaks in between. You must always cancel when it expires. Liz
