If he stayed with the steamship company perhaps there are records.... maybe in NZ or Australia.. which could be checked for a record of service. Gwyn |

hi bernard know he didnt have amiddle name and he married my mum in conway wales,i have downloaded his army records.in 1923 he signed on withmcllwraith mc eacharen proprietary limited as steward s.s. trewyn this stemer was chartered to the union steamship company of new zealand she was heading for nauro auckland,not sur about nauro spelling as its hard to read but thats were it ends and it was dated 23/09/1924 from scottish house 95 -96 william street melbourne hope this is of some help joyce |

hi gwyn yes he was born in barnet middlesex he was working in wales in cafe still dont no how he met my mum there,i have him on the passager list going to australia in 1914 and then as i said ship steward but dont no when he came back to england or what year,its atough one for me to try and find the lost years |

can anyone give advice on how to to try and place were my dad was i have him in 1924 coming out of the austrailan army and going as asteward on trewyn going to new zealand,but then nothing till he met and married my mum in 1935,so how can i fill in the gaps or is it hopeless,thank you joyce from holland |

Did he meet your Mum in England and was that his birthplace? What was his job then? You may find him on a passenger list somewhere. Maybe our New Zealand GR friends can advise on any records that might be logged there. Gwyn |
