I have a marriage cert from 1917. The grooms occupation says.... Private. 2/5th Beds Regt. (Charcoal burner) His father was also a charcoal burner so I assume the groom was stating his civy street occupation.....but! How/where do I find out more about this 2/5th Beds regt;? They married in Darlington but he was born in Kent. Any ideas welcom Gerri. |
