Liz I looked for a marriage and couldn't find one. The only one i found was for a Barnett to Kate Feigenbaum in late 1919

He was with Elizabeth Jacobs, they had their first child Joseph in 1919. I have yet to find a record of any marriage, i think this is because Elizabeth had been married previously, and didn't go through it again i guess!

Thanks Chris, i thought it was a bit strange. But the above family does look promising now, but how do i guarentee that it's actually him this time?

Liz Just asked the OH who is Jewish and he says it just isn't the 'done' thing to put the names of deceased children on a parent's gravestone. Chris

Thanks for the info, yes that does actaully look like the correct family now i think about it. Barnett named his children Louis, Kate, Joseph and Michael......kinda similar to that family there.

Liz I could be the right family and because Barnett had already passed Louis added his name out of respect

I've been reseraching the Jewish side of the family, and it seems i've got the wrong family. My grandfather is Barnett Solomons born around 1882. I thought i'd found a match on the census', parents being Mark and Milly, born Russia.....dates all seemed correct so i went about gathering info on the listed siblings etc. Today though, i went up to East Ham Cemetery to visit Barnett's grave for the first time (which i didn't even find!) and it turns out Mark and Millie, whom i thought to be my g grandparents, were buried a few metres away. BUT it has on the tombstone 'Mourned by....' and then lists the children, inc Barnett. The problem is, Barnett died in 1928, the parents were buried in 1930 and 1936.......my question is.......how can your dead son mourn you?? I have Barnett's death cert, informant being one Louis Solomons, Barnett's brother, who also wasn't listed on the above tombstone. Can anyone help me find Barnett all over again? I don't know where he was born, and there is no record of any marriage. Please, i was so disheartened when i realised i have the wrong people!!! Liz
