Mandy in Wiltshire Report 13 Feb 2007 20:55

A GR friend told me about the site this week; I've had a look and they do have a lot of useful information. I haven't found anything for my ancestors yet but I'll keep trying! Mandy :)

Thanks Horatia have just been on and found a family in the 1851 Census who I could not find on Ancestry even by putting in the piece no etc given on Family History Online. It has filled in a very important gap. Potty

Heather, Yes they do update regularly and the good thing is, you can search before you decide to buy! Much of the info comes from FH Societies. Are you looking for baptisms for your Horsteads? Cheers, Horatia

I go back there now and again in the hope my Horsteads will suddenly appear from the ground but no luck so far. Do they constantly update? I rediscovered British History on line the other day - now that is a brilliant site, I could spend my life reading all their records and info.

Yes I agree with you about that site but I have not found anything for Somerset that I need although a lot for Suffolk and Berkshire Margaret

I've just visited Family History Online again after several months of not visiting. I've had a wonderful day and found the marriage and burial of my 4x Great Grandfather. Finding the marriage allowed me to see for the first time, the maiden name of my 4x Great Grandmother! Also found a brother of my 3 X Great Grandmother who I wasn't aware of and found the burial of my 3 X Great Grandmother. Most of the new information I have found is from Dorset, Somerset and Suffolk! Here is the website: http://www.familyhistoryonline.net/ It is a pay per view site but you get a lot of information for £5. I've spent a fiver and haven't used all my credits up yet. I'm finding FamilyHistoryOnline the Bionic Website today! Cheers, Horatia
