Malvern, Worcestershire??

Louisa if this is your family it looks like they moved around quite a bit, I know this might sound confusing but Herefordshire & Worcestershire are 2 counties that join and if the family moved about they may have registered the children in either county. I cant check for any births because FreeBMD is down at the moment & I cant get any results. Georgina. |

True Georgina, I think I will bite the bullet and order the cert for Charles and see what happens. I really think that you have found the family for me. If you do order the cert, make certain to add some known details as checking points. That will ensure that you don't get a 'wrong' cert...... As has already been pointed out, registration wasn't compulsory until 1875, so there is a better than even chance that the birth simply wasn't registered...........particularly as it was so soon after the introduction of general registration..........
