Reducing picture Sizes

Can anyomne tell me how I upload a photo? I have scanned my photos and every one has a file size larger than that allowed :( can I convert them to a smaller size file? I am not an expert with pictures and this is dring me crazy !!! I am sure there must be an easy way ? Thanks John. It worked !!!! Thanks so muc :) I needed to compress the file Is that right ?

Hi John 2 very quick ways of doing this: 1) have you got Microsofft Photo Editor? if so go to 'image' then select 'resize' and follow instructions from there. or 2) go to www.resize2mail*com (replace star with dot) and follow the simple instructions there.

Well thanbks. I took your advice, but I still cant change the number of Mb of the pic I was using Microsoft mPicture manager, but it doesnt seem to do much :(

John, I'm assuming Photo Editor is like most editing progs. Go to File then Save As choose different File Name and change the file extension to .jpeg This should reduce mb size then use THAT file to send. Derek

Sorry John, On most images if you click on the image some little boxes appear on corners (and inbetween) drag mouse over one of the boxes (handles) wait until arrows change then drag in towards image centre ) this should reduce size. Derek

The easiest http://www.microsoft(.)com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Microsofts own add on for XP. When installed right click and choose yor size. Works in XP, no separate program needed. Bob

This must be the easiest way to resize your photo's, try this site below. www*picresize*com/ Replace * with dot All the best Jim Leitch
