She married in Ireland--Parish of Killiney- in 1895 to Richard Fox, on cert which I have it says father Robert, clerk , no place of birth.This woman is a nightmare!!! Thanks for your reply, Reg, Ros |

I wouldn't have thought that a clerk would become a carpenter....or vice-versa. You haven't made it clear where she married.......when she married..... or who she married. Reg |

Reg --are you ready for list of where I`ve looked!!! 1. Family Ulster --have done a search 2. Co. Mayo '''''''. 3.IGI 4.Ancestry --other kind people have searched for me. 5.Send to Records Office in Ireland. Not tried Scotland as told she was born in Ireland then found similar name on several English census. Father`s occupation on her marriage cert is clerk but carpenter on census. Her name is ANNIE FRANCES FISHER BORN AROUND 1868--70, Ros |

Hi Ros, I would think it is quite possible that the middle name would have been missed off the census information given, I have a number of double names that only appear wiith one. Have you found her birth? |

When you say 'anywhere'........what records do you refer to? It's unlikely that the full names would be recorded on a census........occasionally they were, but not as a matter of course. Does the father's occupation tally with that on the marriage cert? Reg |

Can`t find my ggrandmother anywhere with her full name--ANNIE FRANCES FISHER. There are one or two with just ANNIE and father ROBERT which I have on her marriage certificate. Do you think it would be missed out ?This is about 1870, Ros |
