All I have is a birth certificate. Lm trying to find my parents and possibly siblings. I cant exactly find out where exactly my parents are from. Is their a way to find out this??? from the birth certificate. It has an address and the occupation of my father at the time. Is there ways of tracing back to either to try to find more leads. Can the hospital help at all???. Above all, how would I know if anyone has tryed in the past to find me??.

Gwendoline, You can search for siblings and a marriage by looking through the images here: http://ancestry.*co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx Use the complete BMD index. Rose

All births after 1911 are indexed with the mother's maiden name, so if you think you might have siblings (are they older or younger?) then you can trawl the indexes on Ancestry trying to find births in the right area with the same mother's maiden name. Hope you are looking for an unusual surname combination though!!!! Good luck, Janice
