There's a Passenger Lists thread on the Records Office board - you might try the Australian lists there, some of which include crew names. |

have you tried ancestors on board? you can search it vis Find my past (1837online) it currently covers 1890 to 1909, supposesly all ships leaving the UK are coverd.. |

My granddad joined a ship in Liverpool bound for Australia. it went via India I think. He was not an experienced sailor so I expect he was a general deckhand. This was about 1892 ish. I believe he was away for approx 2 years and on his return the ship docked at the Royal Victoria Dock in East London. Is there any route I can go down to find information about this please. Kathlyn |
