Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 1,401 Send Message	Hi My ancestor Thomas Roberts wed Esther Carroll in Ireland in 1848, the exact date is given on the IGI, but it just says Ireland, not which part. I found it is from the registers of marriages at the GRO in Dublin from 1845 onwards. I looked at the application form you can download from the GRO and you have to give the place of marriage as well. Is there any other way of obtaining an Irish marriage cert, either online or by post if you dont know the parish at all? Thanks Ben

	Hi Benjamin If the marriage was found in the GRO Dublin...then apply to the Dublin Records Office by post. See my thread Irish GRO...on the tips board. I will give it a nudge for you. Teresa
