A Mr Ernest Callender, Mrs May Callender and Miss Lesley Jean Callender travelled to Sydney on the Strathaird, arriving on 20/12/1948: http://www.naa.gov.au/The_Collection/recordsearch.html A Lesley Jean Callender married Gordon Ronald Johnston in Burwood, NSW in 1956: http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?event=births Online BMDs for NSW only go up to 1906 for births, 1956 for marriages and 1976 for deaths.

Hi Roger. What you may find difficult tracing, is that it is quite possible that Lesley Callender has married ( to whom ..? ) There are no online marriage records availabe after 1956.for N.S.W However, there is one record for a marriage of a Lesly jean CALLENDER.in 1956 to a Gordon Johnston. My wife is trying to locate a cousin Lesley Callender who was born in Australia to English parents around the 1940/1950's. Anybody able to run checks please. Only information is that parents at one time owned/ran or worked on an Orange Farm. Not known where.Father believed to be Ernest Callender who may have married May Troth in London in 1913, Believed Ernest and May might well have died in Australia. Many thanks, Roger
