Trying to trace grandfather Surname Grover

Hello everyone, I am trying to trace my grandfather who in 1910 was the landlord of the FREE BUTT INN in Brighton Sussex. His surname was Grover I have no idea of his christian name. If it helps at all my father was born at said pub in the year 1910, his name was Albert Edward Grover. Can anyone help ?

John the only Albert Edward Grover I can see born in 1910 was in Islington... Births Mar 1910 (>99%) GROVER Albert Edward Islington 1b 336 Georgina.

John could he have been born in 1906? Births Sep 1906 (>99%) Grover Albert Edward Brighton 2b 209 Georgina.

You need to order your father's birth certificate as this will give his parents names. You then look for their marriage certificate and order that. From the info you have given this gets you back before 1900 when things actually get a bit easier as you can look for the family on the census returns What was your grandmother's name? Do you have any idea?

John you will need to get his birth certificate to find his parents names, on the 1901 census there are 73 Grover's in Brighton. Georgina.
