Ah but I think Margaret might mean Wood Green in Middlesex as I seem to remember her asking about relatives who came from that county, in which case Edmonton is the registration district.

It still applies. The district is on any census. Civil parish: Wood Green Ecclesiastical parish: Wood Green St Michael County/Island: Middlesex Country: England Registration district: Edmonton Sub-registration district: Tottenham

Thanks Jim and Judith yes it was Wood Green Middlesex, so it comes under Edmonton and still does even to-day Margaret
