I have a uncle, member of the Salvation Army, on hubby's mothers side who migrated from Liverpool to New York on the ETRURIA 6 August 1904 with his wife - no info on her. I think I found him on Ancestry 1910 USA Census, Frederick COUSINS b.1870 South Creake, Norfolk, but don't have subscription for USA. Is there anyone willing to trade a USA search for a UK search on Ancestry? Fingers crossed. Kristeen

Thanks for that Melvyn, I'll now go search for a marriage and see if I can find the wife to confirm it's him. I've a feeling someone said he lived in Rhode Island or some Island in New York.I suppose I could ask the Sallie Army if they keep records. Looking for Horace Eric Hooper without much success. I assume you've looked at FreeBMD. Kristeen

Kristeen: I have rellies who were in the Salvation Army (in Canada) during the early-mid 1900's. Have you tried doing a search (google or something similar) for information? I believe I was able to find a couple of articles using a google search. (Might be more difficult for you, though, with that last name.)
