Was the mother a British subject? If so, you may find the birth under overseas registrations on findmypast. Reg

Frances Was this birth to a British Subject? If so and you know the child's name then you could try the overseas indices.... http://www.familyrelatives(.)com or http://www.findmypast(.)com/HomeServlet remove brackets. Chris

I'm pretty sure birth was in Northern France. Were births registered in 1923? It was an illegitemate baby who's name was changed when she was adopted and brought to England. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have mothers name but that's all.
