Hello. Im looking for the Birth, Marriage and Death cert.'s for ANTHONY/ANDREW DOCHERTY. I am not sure if his name is Anthony or Andrew as he is listed as both on the birth and marriage cert.'s of his children and census'.He is mostly stated as Anthony. born:abt 1831 IRELAND. Marr: BRIDGET WYNN/WYNNE/WINN (from Ireland), Possibly in Edinburgh 1850.(stated on their son Peter's birth cert. as 08/05/1850 Edinburgh). I know he was living in Edinburgh in 1856 and died before1885. I can't find his death or marriage on scotlandspeople. He had 6 children named peter, Thomas, John, Andrew, Michael and Mary.Maybe more, but that's all I know of. Bridget wynn's parents were PATRICK WYNN and MARY LLOYD. On all the Census' I have seen him on, he is just registered as being born in Ireland. Because all my research has been centred around Scotland so far,I've only been using scotlandspeople (brill site!), so haven't really got much idea about where to go from here. How would I start researching in Ireland? Does anyone know any good sites to start at? All suggestions very much appriciated. x |

It'd be a long holiday, I don't even know whereabouts in Ireland they came from! Then again, I haven't been away in a while..... :-) |
