	You should find inmates of Workhouses on the census as normal. For information about the workhouses themselves look at:- www.workhouses.org Type in the name of the place where the workhouse you are interested in is and it will bring up details of the place and where the records (if the survive) can be found. Your local library is also a good place to try - ours has original registers from the workhouse and some on microfiche. Best of luck with your search Maria
