I had my Hot Matches today, and once again it only throws up the same ones as last time, even though I discarded them before. Is this normal?.. ALSO can anyne explain why the Hot Matches only go as far as 'B' (Bennett), when I have surnames in my tree beginning with other letters in the alphabet K,P,S,L, R. etc etc. Thanks Harvey |

Well, I guess you must be fairly new, as after a couple of years it manages to get tothe end of your tree and then you just get new stuff coming up! When you check your hot matches, do you tick them and then at the bottom of the page click save. This is good old GRs confusing programming. To get rid of you click save. It may also be people re load their ged coms so the program picks them up again as a new match. |

Harvey You only get, I think, 200 hot matches in each batch. If someone reloads their tree, and your names match, then you go back to the beginning of the alphabet again. The system treats every reload as new names and doies not recognise that it has matched you before. Nuisance. OC |

Harvey There is no way of permanently getting rid of them. Whatever you do they go to your 'discarded hot matches' list. But of course you don't ever have to look at that list. OC |
