Hiya Does anybody know how or if I can find out the adopted name of someone. I have her birth name and date of birth but to be able to order adoption certificates I need the adoption name. Any ideas Kirsty |

Sadly, It's not very likely that you will be able to Kirsty. Have a look at the G.R.Office section on Adoptions: http://www.gro.gov.uk There are Adoption Registers where you could add your name. The person you want to find maybe looking for YOU! I found some of my Birthfamily on GReunited through a hot match..........so put as many names as you can in your family tree on here.(IF you are a relation ) I will nudge up my thread about 'finding someone' which has a few places where you could leave a post in case the person IS searching for you.
