Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 2,132 Send Message	Dear Sam, try www.lambethpalacelibrary.org/holdings/Guides/marriages.html for a description of the Anglican system - Lambeth Palace is the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and there is a useful brief summary of the types of collections held locally. As you probably already know, a lot of work has gone into indexing the vicar-general licences and the faculty office licences, but only up to 1850. The website explains that there are annual lists that can be searched after 1850 (but not on-line).

	A good friend of mine got a copy of a marriage licence for one of my rellies from the records office. Mine has their signatures on too Elaine
