If the surname was the same as yours, I wouldn't have thought there were too many of the name to look for. Find your father's birth reg'n, which will include his mother's maiden surname........then look for births with the matching details, a few years either side of your father's. Alternatively, the marriage cert will only cost £7.00 Reg |

hello all. iv found my mums wedding date on the 30/11/74 on the records. But i wanted to find out the names of my mum's witness? i wanted to know if there was anywhere that could show me a full copy just so i could get my dad's brothers name. thanks lee |

You would have to buy the certificate, or view the parish record from the local records office to get those details. |
