Does anyone know if this would be a parish in Kerry or would the nearest town be the place for a marriage? This would have taken place abt 1867. I think it might be in the area of Tuosist. The marriage was between John Harper and Julia O'Brien. The reason I have gone for the above place is, they had twins born there in 1876/7. Also a son born in 1867 place not known in Ireland. John was a gamekeeper and moved back to Scotland between the twins birth and the 1881 census. Any advice where to look most appreciated Pat

From Killorglin, take the main N70 'Ring of Kerry' road west 5.5 miles. Look for the Glencar road (left turn off the N70) that heads south along the WEST side of lovely Lough Caragh. After arriving at Glencar, keep to the right (west) for a short distance (less than a mile) to the Bealalaw Bridge junction of the roads to Ballaghbeama Gap and Ballaghisheen Pass. The road west over Ballaghisheen Pass is the interior route to Waterville, but you will want to take the meandering road that leads south over Ballaghbeama Gap to Derreendaragh.
