Hi Margaret, can you explain that to me please? Does that mean her parents were immigrants?

It could mean she was a naturalised British subject in which case there should be documents . These would be found at the National Archives. Not sure how much is online . Margaret

Thanks Reg, so that means she could have been born while the parents were on holiday for instance, but the parents were Bristish subjects?

1851 Charles Clarke age 36 born 1815 Chelmsford living with wife Mary aged 30 born Germany. After Germany there are two words which are perhaps the name of a village or town but I cannot make them out. Folio ref is H0107/1813/-14 Many thanks Susan
